For About Last 10 Years The Sitlex Foundation is
a charity, based in the India that works to advance the
development and education of collage students.
The FOUNDATION is created exclusively for the purpose
of fostering education in Connecticut in order to maintain
at a high level the standing of the professional by
(a)
Assisting persons of good moral character and superior
intelligence to obtain a college education encouraging
them to become professionals.
(b)
Creating and establishing scholarships, fellowships and
other methods of improving the education and techniques
of prospective members of the professional in their efforts
to make available larger amounts of educational
scholarships assistance, the Trustees urge every member
to support the FUND and encourage the
establishment of Memorials.
The mission of the Trust is, Transform
Society through Education
To assist students of all communities to pursue their
studies by providing scholarships books and all other
requirements of students free of cost or at concession.
To diffuse useful educational, literary and social
knowledge.
To offer books, scholarships: and the assistance for
poor students.
The Foundation works for Independent Higher Education
and its network fund partners manage dozens of scholarship
programs each year awarding thousands of scholarships
worth millions of Rupees. The recipients are mostly
needy, gifted students among the 1.5 million students
enrolled at the 670 private colleges and universities
that are members of the network.
In a society where it is not passion or vision but money
that is a barrier, we see fundraising as a vital element
of building a movement for social justice. We are shattering
the conventions of the philanthropy world by showing
that young people who do not have a large source of
personal wealth can successfully run a foundation by
drawing upon years of grassroots organizing experience
and the skills of self-education.
